Louis Dupre is a French history painter and lithographer born in 1789 and dead in 1837. He studied with David in Paris and travelled a lot in Europe. Although he is especially noted for his paintings with Orientalist and Philhellene themes he also made amazing depictions of French history. Let's have a look at some of them.
